Abstract:
Exploratory testing requires creativity, knowledge, and skills. Doing it in pairs makes it easy to innovate and share knowledge of different areas. Pair testing also improves communication, builds trust and helps people to understand each other. It is powerful cross-functional agile practice with pairs like developer-tester, tester-business owner, developer-user etc. Pairing also helps developers to shift their mindset form programming to testing.
There are excellent tips and techniques for doing pair programming, but how to do pair testing? The challenge is, how to involve both participants in test design and avoid tester-notekeeper roles.
In this workshop participants will explore pair testing in practice. We will try it with different missions, pairs, and techniques.
