Presented by Serge Beaumont and Marco Mulder
Abstract:
When you have a whole bunch of user stories, it can be hard to see the forest for the trees. User stories, or whatever you use as backlog items, are too fine grained to give a good overview to create a coherent release. Story mapping is a technique that is simple but surprisingly powerful to figure out how to construct good coherent releases, with good coherent feature sets. In this session you will learn the ideas behind story mapping, what story mapping is, and you will practice so you should be able to immediately apply this in your own work.
Format and length:
90 minutes
Intended audience and prerequisites:
Anybody in a software development team and Scrum Product Owners or equivalents
Objective(s) of the session:
To learn the story mapping technique to construct releases
Benefits, for the participants and the presenters:
Coherent, compact releases. A way to cut out a lot of the "fat" that leads to bloated, useless feature sets. A way to deliver working software faster (time to market!)
